What the browser keeps
The Savor Tide uses a small script for navigation and a notice about local storage. The site is not a customer portal and has no booking basket or saved itinerary. This page describes the behaviour of the supplied files so that the local preference can be understood separately from ordinary page loading and communication through an email application.
1. Cookies, local storage and cache
Cookies are pieces of information associated with a domain that the browser may return in later requests. Local storage allows a script to retain a value on the device without automatically sending it as a cookie. The file cache has another purpose: reusing downloaded resources such as a photograph or style sheet. These mechanisms should not be treated as interchangeable or assumed to create a customer identity.
2. The privacy note on the home page
When you select “Understood”, the note closes and a notice-dismissed preference is saved in local storage. Its only purpose is to keep the note closed on later visits. The saved value does not include personal details, a travel choice or a unique visitor identifier. No script transmits it to a server. It is not used to tailor voyage ideas or follow activity on other websites.
3. How to change that preference
The value remains until you clear the site’s browser data or the browser removes it. Removing it allows the note to appear again. If local storage is blocked, the close action still works on the page being viewed, but the website may not remember it afterwards. This is an informational notice; closing it does not activate advertising, analytics or optional tracking.
4. Menus and answers
The mobile navigation opens and closes in response to the menu button, links and keyboard actions. That state is not saved for the next visit. Frequently asked questions use the browser’s native disclosure controls. Opening an answer does not load a third-party platform. No script writes cookies, uses session storage or records a history of the sections you have read.
5. Display resources and outside services
Photographs are local JPG assets. Some are requested as their position approaches the visible area. The typography uses fonts available on your device rather than downloading a font library. These pages contain no embedded video, map frame, advertising service or audience analytics. A link to independent guidance opens a separate service when selected, and that service applies its own policies.
6. Email and telephone links
A mail link asks your device to open an email application with the displayed address. It does not send a completed enquiry. You remain in control of the contents and the decision to send. Webmail and calling applications operate independently. Clearing the data associated with thesavortide.com does not erase a message or call record held in those services.
7. Browser settings and future tools
Look for thesavortide.com in your browser’s privacy or site-data settings to inspect or clear the data. Private browsing can affect what remains after a session but cannot remove the requests needed to receive a page. Hosting settings, extensions or tools added later may behave independently of these files. If something appears inconsistent, write to hello@thesavortide.com with the page and browser used. Any new tracking function should explain its purpose and relevant choices before activation.
